Martinique March 2022   We left St. Martin and anchored overnight in Guadaloupe.  We spent several days in Iles des Saintes and continued on to Dominica where we anchored overnight.  Our daughter Isabelle and her 7 month old baby, Rene, are meeting us in Martinique for a week! We can't wait to see them. They are arriving from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic where they live.  We picked them up at the airport in Fort de France and drove to Anse Mitan where our boat is anchored.   Unfortunately, it was rainy when they arrived.  We climbed into our dinghy to take them to our boat anchored in the bay.  It was a bit difficult with the baby, but he was a real trooper!

Our first anchorage is Anse Dufour to swim and relax.

Our next anchorage was Petit Anse; the beach was beautiful.  Sushi, our dog, was curious but well behaved with Rene, especially when Rene handed him treats!

Our final destination is Saint Anne.  The anchorage is huge, with boats anchored for miles.  The town is compact and charming.  We had a delicious crepe lunch at Ti Cozy.

Rene slept well on the boat; the rocking motion lulled him to sleep.

We rented a car and drove to Plage des Salines, a long, beautiful beach with plenty of restaurants and shops.

We drove Isabelle and Rene back to the airport.  We had a wonderful visit with our daughter and sailor boy.  Rene was amazing on and off boat.  We will miss them; see you soon! Xoxo
