Welcome to Our Tropical Paradise

Hello!   We are Susan and Pat Farrell, boat cruisers and land travelers.  We have created this website to share our travel experiences.  Our log begins in 2004, when we cruised aboard our sailing vessel, Orchid Lady.  After cruising for 4 years, we took a break, sold our boat,  and did some land travel.  In 2015 we purchased another sailboat, Cosmos, and continued the adventure from the west coast. In 2018 we purchased Oasis in Florida for further adventures in the Caribbean. Most recently we purchased Vela in 2024 in the BVI. These were our first thought about why we were doing this – It has been difficult for us to decide which direction in the Caribbean to head from Florida.  East or west?  We’re somewhat familiar with the eastern Caribbean, having previously visited many islands such as the Grenadines, Dominica, Trinidad & Tobago, Martinique, Guadeloupe, etc.  However, these visits were for only several weeks at a time, and we’d like to spend more time exploring the areas.  We are not familiar with the western Caribbean, such as Belize, and Central America, and we hope later to cruise this area.  We’ve decided to first visit the eastern Caribbean, heading toward the Bahamas by the first of December, and to be in Grenada by end of June for hurricane season.
