Orchid Lady (named in honor of Susan, who enjoys growing orchids) is a 46’ Morgan ketch sailboat. We flew from California to Florida to look for a boat in the fall of 2003. We knew when we saw her that she would be the boat for us. She is very roomy for a live-aboard and has many of the amenities we require: center cockpit, good size galley, aft cabin, two heads (one has a bathtub!), salon, work station, nav station and forward V-berth. In addition, she is solidly built and very safe for blue water cruising. We need to do more work on the boat, provision her, and we’ll be able to set sail in November 2004! We will of course be bringing along many orchids, and plan to collect some new species along the way.
